The Bureau of Bridges and Structures Construction Section has developed a Structural Fabrication Quality Manual.  The manual is referenced in the MDOT Materials Quality Assurance Procedures Manual and is located on the [https://www.michigan.gov/mdot/0,4616,7-151-87728_87844_87846_91594---,00.html Structural Fabrication Unit’s (SFU)] website.  A brief description of the manual is presented below.

<b>Chapter 4 (Supplier Qualification Program):</b> The Structural Fabrication Unit’s Supplier Qualification Program can be found in this chapter and currently consists of one [https://www.michigan.gov/documents/mdot/MDOT_StructuralFabricationQualityManual_689672_7.pdf Supplier Qualification Standard (SQS) for prestressed concrete beams].  This SQS becomes effective for the October 2020 Letting.  The chapter allows plenty of room for growth to include other products in the future.
