The Bureau of Bridges and Structures Construction Section has revised its Structural Fabrication Quality Manual. The manual is referenced in the MDOT Materials Quality Assurance Procedures Manual and will be located on the Structural Fabrication Unit’s (SFU) website. A brief description of the revisions is presented below.

Chapter 1 (General Information):

  • Formatting, acronym, and grammar corrections
  • Updates for 2020 spec book
  • Added local agency information
  • Added new definitions
  • Updated contact information
  • Revised narrative report writing requirements
  • Added fabrication flowchart, web links, and inspection file closeout process
