Creating a Bentley account should be the first thing that you do when using CONNECT edition products. Users must sign in to their Bentley account through the Connection Client in order to obtain a license for CONNECT edition products. Bentley accounts also provide access to additional resources including Bentley Learn and Bentley 365 services, depending on the organization's Bentley License.

[https://learn.bentley.com/app/Public Bentley Learn] is a web-based training platform that that houses a plethora of video based, on-demand training. All MDOT training material will have a Bentley Learn course as a prerequisite to taking the MDOT course.

All MDOT employees with a Bentley account have access to Bentley Learn. Consultants may not have access to Bentley Learn as it depends on the entitlements that were purchased with the design software.

CONNECT Advisor is an application that runs inside of all CONNECT edition products. It gives users the ability to search for content specific training. CONNECT Advisor searches many places to find suitable training for users including Bentley Learn, Bentley Communities, and YouTube.

Another nice feature is that CONNECT Advisor knows which Bentley Learn courses you are enrolled in, and the Learn content can be accessed right in the design software without going to Bentley Learn. Often times, using CONNECT Advisor will load much faster than accessing the training of the full Bentley Learn site.
