PRECONSTRUCTION

Field Witnesses

Be sure to contact the Region Surveyor by writing prior to work commencing for permission to not use straight line witnesses(821.01.B.2). All objects used as witnesses to reestablish the point shall not be marked as remove or adjust in the plans and will be outside of the potential construction activity & utility relocation limits. The witnesses shall be field measured and turned into the Region Surveyor before construction(821.01.B.1). If the Region Surveyor agrees to not using straight line witnesses the points must still be verified by witnesses and not set by coordinates alone.
